Oakland, CA โ A multi-vehicle crash Monday evening at the intersection of 24th Street and 33rd Avenue in East Oakland resulted in multiple injuries and significant traffic disruptions, according to emergency responders and the Oakland Police Department.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:21 PM, prompting an urgent response from local fire and EMS units.
According to witness accounts, two vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles collided with a streetlight, while the other was left blocking the intersection, creating dangerous conditions for motorists and first responders.
Emergency crews provided on-site medical care, and at least one injured individual was transported to a nearby hospital. The severity of injuries has not been officially confirmed.
The crash scene caused temporary lane closures and traffic backups in the surrounding area. Debris scattered across the roadway added to the cleanup complexity as responders worked to clear the intersection and tow damaged vehicles.
