Livermore, CA - Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on I-580

Livermore, CA (June 3, 2025) – A motorcyclist was killed when the bike collided with a big rig on eastbound Interstate 580 just west of the Highway 84 overpass, the California Highway Patrol reports.

The collision occurred around 2:41 a.m. Tuesday, and the impact caused the big rig to catch fire, forcing a full closure of the eastbound lanes.

CHP investigators and emergency crews responded to the scene. The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
