Lower Lake, CA - One Hospitalized in Crash on SR-53 at SR-29

Lower Lake, CA (June 12, 2025) – One person was hospitalized when a sedan rear-ended a UPS truck and crashed into a guardrail on State Route 53 at the SR-29 intersection, CHP reports.

The crash occurred at about 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Emergency responders, including a medical helicopter, arrived promptly to treat the driver and transport the victim to a hospital; the extent of the injuries remains unconfirmed.

CHP’s traffic accident unit is investigating whether factors such as speed, vehicle malfunction, or road conditions contributed to the collision.
