Santa Clara County, CA – Man Killed by Pickup Truck While Crossing Roadway in San Jose

Santa Clara County, CA (August 10, 2025) – A man died Sunday night after being struck by a pickup truck while crossing a roadway in San Jose. The collision took place around 10:13 p.m. on August 10, 2025, near the intersection of South King Road and Aldrich Way, according to the San Jose Police Department.

Preliminary investigation shows the man was crossing outside of a marked pedestrian crosswalk when he was hit by a northbound 2022 white Chevrolet pickup truck. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead there. His identity has not yet been released.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
