Merced, CA (October 07, 2025) – A man was killed early Tuesday morning in a head-on collision on Highway 59 near Oakdale Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash occurred around 6:20 a.m., when the driver of a Ford Fusion reportedly crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a dump truck. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released further details, and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
