Modesto, CA (April 10, 2025) – A vehicle slammed into a Chase Bank branch on Standiford Avenue near Sisk Road Wednesday afternoon, leaving one person injured and prompting an emergency rescue operation, according to the Modesto Fire Department.
The incident occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. and resulted in the vehicle flipping over and coming to rest against the building’s main electrical panel. Despite the dramatic scene and structural impact, no injuries were reported among bank staff or customers.
Two people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. One occupant was able to exit the vehicle on their own, while the other became trapped beneath the overturned car. Firefighters quickly stabilized the vehicle and extricated the trapped occupant, who was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The current condition of the injured individual has not been disclosed.
The crash caused visible damage to the bank’s exterior and raised safety concerns related to the building’s electrical systems. Modesto police and fire personnel responded to secure the area and conduct an initial investigation. Officials have not yet confirmed the cause of the crash, though they are considering possibilities including mechanical failure, driver error, or a medical emergency.
