Modesto, CA (April 25, 2025) – A fatal single-vehicle crash claimed the life of one person early Friday morning near Johansen High School, according to the Modesto Police Department. The incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. at the intersection of Creekwood Drive and Edenton Way.
Responding officers discovered a gray 2016 Toyota sedan that had collided with a concrete wall and a tree.
Authorities reported that the driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. No passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Preliminary findings indicate the vehicle was traveling southbound on Creekwood Drive when the driver lost control. The exact circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation.
