Modesto, CA (July 14, 2025) – A Turlock man was killed Monday morning after crashing into a semi-truck at the intersection of South Carpenter Road and Monte Vista Avenue, just south of Modesto, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. when the 34-year-old man, driving a Toyota Camry, entered the intersection and was struck on the driver’s side by a big rig. CHP investigators reported that the Camry pulled directly into the path of the semi-truck.
The Turlock man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
Authorities stated that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
