Modesto, CA - Four Hospitalized After Hitting a Tree at College Ave

Modesto, CA (June 2, 2025) – Four people were hospitalized when their car lost control and struck a tree at College Avenue and Durant Street, according to the Modesto Police Department.

The crash occurred shortly before 7:15 p.m. Monday. Authorities say the driver appeared to be speeding and lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and hit a nearby tree.

All four occupants were taken to a local hospital; at least one person was in critical condition, last reported, while the others were stabilized. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

Modesto Police continue to investigate the factors leading up to the crash.
