Modesto, CA (May 1, 2025) – Two drivers were killed in a head-on collision early Thursday morning on Highway 132 near Hart Road, west of Modesto, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash occurred around 3:00 a.m. when a white sedan traveling westbound on Highway 132 reportedly crossed into the eastbound lane for unknown reasons, colliding head-on with a black sedan.
CHP officers arriving at the scene found both vehicles with major damage – the white sedan on the north shoulder and the black sedan along the south shoulder. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims pending family notification. It is currently unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
