San Diego, CA (September 11, 2025) – A 43-year-old man was injured Thursday morning in a hit-and-run collision in San Diego’s Mountain View neighborhood, authorities reported.
The crash occurred around 8:17 a.m. in the 1400 block of South 43rd Street, according to the San Diego Police Department. The rider, traveling northbound on a purple Harley Davidson motorcycle, veered from the No. 2 lane into the No. 1 lane when a vehicle approached from behind. The suspect vehicle overtook the motorcycle from the left before moving right, striking the rider and knocking him to the ground.
The motorcyclist sustained a fractured right clavicle and abrasions to his right elbow and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect vehicle, described as a dark-colored sedan, fled northbound on 43rd Street without stopping.
San Diego Police Department investigators are actively searching for the hit-and-run driver. Anyone with information is urged to contact the department.
