San Diego, CA (September 08, 2025) – A multi-car collision occurred at the intersection of Lemon Crest Drive and Winter Gardens Boulevard in San Diego on Sunday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident was reported at approximately 8:53 p.m. and involved at least two vehicles, including a Toyota RAV4 and an unknown vehicle. The collision caused significant debris in the lanes, blocking traffic.
One of the vehicles, a silver Toyota RAV4, had deployed airbags and was found in the middle lanes. Emergency responders, including the Central Fire Department, were on the scene, and it was confirmed that minor injuries were sustained by the individuals involved.
One vehicle fled the scene after the collision. At 9:47 p.m., a tow truck was requested for the involved vehicles, which were eventually cleared from the scene. All lanes were reopened shortly thereafter.
