Sacramento, CA — A three-vehicle collision in Sacramento’s Natomas neighborhood resulted in multiple injuries Monday afternoon, disrupting traffic during peak commute hours. The crash occurred at approximately 4:26 PM at the intersection of San Juan Road and Truxel Road, a major thoroughfare in the area.
Sacramento Fire Department emergency crews arrived promptly, providing on-site treatment and transporting at least one person to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Additional individuals were evaluated at the scene by paramedics.
According to witnesses, the incident appeared to be a chain-reaction collision involving three vehicles. One car suffered significant front-end damage, while another had rear-end impact. The crash blocked several lanes in all directions, causing major delays during the busy afternoon rush.
Authorities worked to clear debris and manage traffic, while investigators began reviewing possible contributing factors.
Initial findings suggest the crash may have been caused by a failure to stop in time, with distraction or following too closely also under consideration. The Sacramento Police Department continues to investigate.
“Drivers should remain alert and maintain safe distances, especially during peak traffic times,” officials reminded motorists following the crash.
