Napa County, CA (July 11, 2025) – A fatal crash on Highway 12 near Kirkland Ranch Road in Napa County on Friday night left one person dead and another seriously injured. The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m., when a black Nissan 350Z was travelling westbound at a high rate of speed.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver lost control of the vehicle while navigating a curve. The car veered into the median, then drifted right, exited the roadway, became airborne, struck multiple objects, and overturned several times before coming to a stop in a nearby grass field.
The driver was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, while a female passenger sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities suspect alcohol may have played a role in the crash. An investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident.
