North Highlands, CA – Cyclist Killed in Crash with Mazda on Madison Avenue

North Highlands, CA (April 21, 2025) – A 63-year-old cyclist was fatally struck by a Mazda Monday night on Madison Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 8:58 p.m. just east of Jackson Street as the cyclist was traveling westbound. Emergency responders transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:27 p.m.

The driver of the Mazda remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. CHP reported no signs of alcohol or drug involvement.

The Sacramento County Coronerโ€™s Office will confirm the victimโ€™s identity. The incident remains under investigation.
