North Highlands, CA - Cyclist Killed in Crash with Mazda on Madison Avenue

North Highlands, CA (April 21, 2025) – A 63-year-old cyclist was fatally struck by a Mazda Monday night on Madison Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 8:58 p.m. just east of Jackson Street as the cyclist was traveling westbound. Emergency responders transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:27 p.m.

The driver of the Mazda remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. CHP reported no signs of alcohol or drug involvement.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will confirm the victim’s identity. The incident remains under investigation.
