North Highlands, CA - Pickup Truck Crash Shears Power Pole on Walnut and Laurelview

North Highlands, CA (April 12, 2025) – A pickup truck crash early Saturday morning resulted in one person requiring extrication after the vehicle struck and sheared off a power pole, according to Sacramento Metropolitan Fire.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Laurelview Avenue. Emergency crews arrived to find a pickup truck with significant damage. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by fire personnel. Three other passengers were able to exit the truck on their own.

All occupants were evaluated at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical assessment.

The California Highway Patrol – East Sacramento is investigating the cause of the crash.
