North Highlands, CA - Pregnant Woman Reported Injured in Two-Car Crash on I-80

North Highlands, CA (July 23, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash caused injuries Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 80 near the Watt Avenue offramp in North Highlands, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At around 3:32 p.m., a silver Toyota Corolla and a white sedan collided on the freeway. CHP said one of the vehicles was left facing the wrong direction in the second lane, while the other came to rest in the center divide.

Emergency responders arrived and transported those with injuries to a nearby hospital. CHP noted that one passenger involved in the crash was six weeks pregnant. Her current condition has not been released.

Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles and clear the lanes. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

We extend our best wishes for a full recovery to all those injured in this collision.

Car Accidents in California

Car accidents in California are a serious concern, with high rates of injury-causing and fatal collisions. These accidents are often caused by factors such as speeding, sudden lane changes, and driver distraction, leading to injuries like fractures, head trauma, or back strain. The highways of Southern California and major roads in cities like Sacramento are particularly prone to such incidents, especially during rush hours on major corridors like Highway 99 and Interstate 5.

When you’re left injured and overwhelmed by another driver’s negligence, you should heal, not go alone on legal battles. During this difficult recovery time, a car accident lawyer is essential for examining evidence and contacting witnesses to negotiating with insurance companies. Jeremy Winter, an experienced California car accident attorney, understands this. He can lift the burden by assisting you in filing an accident claim and fighting for full compensation for your medical bills, lost wages, and property damage.

Having JG Winter Law by your side allows you to focus entirely on your recovery while we work to get the compensation you deserve.
