North Sacramento, CA (April 09, 2025) – A bicyclist was injured Wednesday afternoon following a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Elverta Road and Watt Avenue in North Sacramento. The crash occurred around 4:43 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
CHP incident logs confirmed that the collision involved a blue sedan and a bicycle. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene and initially listed the incident as requiring ambulance assistance (code 1141). However, the situation was later updated to a minor injury classification (code 1181), indicating that the cyclist’s injuries were not life-threatening.
Medical personnel treated the cyclist at the scene. It remains unclear whether the injured party was transported to a hospital for further evaluation. The driver of the sedan stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities during the investigation.
Traffic flow in the area was not significantly impacted, as no major obstructions were reported. CHP officers cleared the scene shortly after completing their initial response.
