North Sacramento, CA - Cyclist Injured in Crash at Rio Linda Blvd and Elkhorn Blvd

North Sacramento, CA (April 20, 2025) – A female cyclist was injured Sunday night after being hit by a white Kia sedan at Rio Linda Boulevard and Elkhorn Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 9:14 p.m. and involved a white Kia sedan and a bicycle. Witnesses said the cyclist was alert and had retrieved her belongings from the road after the crash. Emergency crews arrived shortly after to provide medical aid.

The driver remained at the scene. A bystander noted the driver walking toward a nearby business following the incident. It is unclear if the cyclist was transported to a hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
