North Sacramento, CA (July 14, 2025) – A hit-and-run crash involving multiple vehicles resulted in injuries on Watt Ave, just north of Interstate 80 on Monday night. The crash occurred at approximately 9:13 p.m., escalating when the driver attempted to flee the scene.
Witnesses reported that a silver Chevrolet Cruze caused the initial collision, allegedly while driving under the influence. The driver attempted to flee but lost control, crashing again in an active construction zone near the original crash site.
Emergency responders arrived promptly and provided medical assistance to at least one injured individual. Two vehicles sustained major front-end and rear-end damage, and tow services were called to clear both cars from the scene.
Law enforcement remained on-site for over an hour, managing traffic and continuing their investigation. The suspect driver was eventually detained at the scene following the second crash and cleared through Sacramento County warrants.
