North Sacramento, CA - Two Juveniles Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Winding Way at Auburn Blvd

Sacramento, CA (April 16, 2025) – Two juveniles were injured Wednesday evening after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street at the intersection of Winding Way and Auburn Boulevard in North Sacramento.

The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. and involved a gray Hyundai sedan. According to eyewitness accounts and California Highway Patrol (CHP) dispatch logs, the two young pedestrians were reportedly running across the road when the vehicle struck them. One of the victims was reportedly thrown into the air by the impact. The driver of the Hyundai stopped on the right shoulder following the collision.

Both juveniles were treated at the scene and transported to separate hospitals for further medical care. Preliminary reports indicate that the traffic signal was green for turning vehicles at the time of the crash, suggesting the pedestrians may have entered the crosswalk against the signal.

The Sacramento Police Department is handling the investigation, which remains ongoing.

We send our thoughts and best wishes to the injured juveniles and hope for their full recovery.
