Oakland, CA - Ford Mustang and Tesla Involved in Crash on I-880 South

Oakland, CA (April 11, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 880 South caused traffic disruptions Friday night in Oakland, according to local authorities.

The collision occurred at approximately 10:50 p.m. and involved a white 2015 Ford Mustang and a blue Tesla. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and required flatbed towing.

Lanes two and three were blocked as emergency personnel responded and worked to manage the scene. By 11:15 p.m., all lanes were reopened and normal traffic flow resumed.

Witnesses reported the Ford Mustang was weaving through traffic prior to the collision. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

We are thankful no serious injuries were reported and commend the emergency crews for their rapid response.
