Oakland, CA (June 3, 2025) – One motorcyclist was seriously injured when the bike collided with a white Jeep on westbound I-80 near Powell Street, the California Highway Patrol reports.
The crash occurred Tuesday afternoon when the motorcycle and Jeep struck each other under circumstances still under review by CHP investigators.
Oakland Fire Department paramedics treated the rider at the scene before transporting the patient to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Officials continue to investigate what led to the collision.
