Oakland, CA - Pedestrian Injured in Crash on Market St

Oakland, CA (May 29, 2025) – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 800 block of Market Street, suffering injuries that required hospitalization.

The collision occurred at about 3:45 p.m. Thursday when the vehicle hit the pedestrian near the Eastlake Park area. Oakland Police, fire crews, and paramedics arrived quickly to provide aid and transport the injured person to a local hospital; the extent of the injuries has not been confirmed.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Oakland Police continue to probe the circumstances of the crash.
