Oakland, CA - Van and Vehicle Involved in Crash and Fire on I-880 N Near 80 Transition

Oakland, CA (April 29, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash involving a fire occurred on Interstate 880 North near the 80 Transition in Oakland, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. and involved a white van and a second vehicle that became disabled and caught fire. CHP units responded to manage the scene and ensure safety as emergency crews worked to contain the situation.

No injuries have been confirmed. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
