Woodland, CA (October 22, 2025) – One person died on Thursday morning, and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash along rural roads in Woodland, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 102 and County Road 17. CHP officials reported that a Toyota sedan was traveling southbound on County Road 102 when it failed to stop at a stop sign, colliding with a Kia sedan that was crossing the intersection.
One occupant of the Kia sedan died at the scene from their injuries, while the Toyota driver and the other two passengers in the Kia sustained major injuries. The injured individuals were transported to nearby hospitals, while the deceased was taken to the Yolo County Coroner’s Office. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the deceased was the driver or a passenger in the Kia.
Law enforcement officials found significant damage to both vehicles, with one of the vehicles landing in a nearby orchard. County Road 102 remained closed for several hours as investigators examined the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and authorities have not yet confirmed if weather conditions, such as fog, played a role. No additional details regarding the ages or identities of those involved have been released.
