San Bernardino County, CA (August 12, 2025) – A fatal crash involving a passenger car and a semi-truck occurred Tuesday afternoon on State Route 247 in San Bernardino County. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision was reported at approximately 2:34 p.m. near mile marker 247.

Preliminary reports indicate that a silver Toyota Camry collided with a semi-truck, leaving debris scattered across the roadway. Two people in the Camry were injured, and one of them later died from their injuries. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of the family.

Emergency crews, including fire personnel, responded to the scene to provide aid and requested a backboard for patient transport. Yucca Valley Towing was called to remove the damaged Camry, which had significant front-end damage.

Authorities temporarily restricted traffic while investigators examined the scene and documented evidence. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, including whether the semi-truck will be inspected for potential mechanical issues.
