Los Angeles, CA (October 07, 2025) – One person was killed early this morning in a collision involving a white Kia and a tow truck on southbound Interstate 110 near Florence Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash occurred around 1:39 a.m., between Florence Avenue and Manchester Avenue.
Emergency responders reported that the white Kia and a tow truck were involved, though no further details about the victims’ conditions were released at the scene.
CHP and Caltrans implemented a hard closure and SigAlert, blocking lanes temporarily while crews cleared the roadway. The crash prompted a partial closure of the Florence Avenue on-ramp to SB I-110.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
