Chico, CA (Sept 02, 2025) – Last night, at approximately 9:15 PM, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Skyway Rd near Dogtown Rd, just southwest of Upper Dogtown in Chico. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the pedestrian sustained major injuries and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Emergency responders, including the Butte County Fire Department, arrived at the scene shortly after the incident occurred. The California Highway Patrol classified the collision as a major injury traffic accident.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and traffic was temporarily affected as responders worked to clear the area.
