[03-28-2025] – Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run in South Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA – A pedestrian was injured Friday afternoon in a hit-and-run incident on Maie Avenue in South Los Angeles. The collision occurred around 4:44 PM on March 28, 2025, near the 8900 block of Maie Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene to provide medical assistance to the injured pedestrian. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of the pedestrian’s injuries has not yet been disclosed.

The driver involved fled the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival.

The California Highway Patrol classified the crash as a felony hit-and-run with injuries under California Vehicle Code 20001. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation and is actively searching for the suspect vehicle and driver.
