Lake Isabella, CA (September 09, 2025) – A hit-and-run incident left a pedestrian injured Tuesday evening on Young Avenue near Lake Isabella Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The call came in around 8:33 p.m., when a witness reported that a vehicle appeared to have struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene. The witness did not see the collision directly.
Firefighters from Engine 72 responded and confirmed that an injured individual had been transported to Kern Valley Hospital. The patient was admitted to bed 7, but the extent of their injuries has not been released.
CHP officers are investigating the incident. No suspect vehicle description has been confirmed, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the hit-and-run to come forward.
The area experienced temporary traffic delays while emergency responders and investigators worked at the scene.
