Fatal Truck Accidents in California
Collisions involving big rigs and pedestrians often lead to devastating and fatal outcomes. Families of victims have the right to seek wrongful death compensation for funeral expenses, lost income, and emotional suffering under California law.
Even in hit-and-run truck accidents, families may still recover damages through uninsured motorist coverage, commercial carrier liability, or civil claims once the responsible driver or trucking company is identified. The law allows two years from the date of death to file a wrongful death lawsuit. Acting quickly helps preserve vital evidence, including dashcam footage, GPS tracking data, and witness accounts.
A skilled California truck accident lawyer investigates the crash, works with law enforcement, and holds negligent drivers and trucking companies accountable.
