San Joaquin County, CA (Sept 2, 2026) – A man is dead following a head-on crash in San Joaquin County on Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP said a sedan and a pickup truck collided head-on around 6:16 p.m. near Mariposa and Van Allen roads, outside of Stockton. The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
