Placerville, CA (April 12, 2025) – A motorcyclist died early Saturday morning in a solo-vehicle crash in El Dorado County, according to the Placerville Police Department.
At approximately 2:20 a.m., officers responded to the 2900 block of Cold Springs Road for reports of a motorcycle collision. Upon arrival, they found 42-year-old Shawn Martin unresponsive. Despite efforts to render aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not yet released information on what may have led to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
