Ramona, CA (September 14, 2025) – Two individuals sustained major injuries in a serious motorcycle-SUV collision near Ramona, California, over the weekend. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is currently investigating the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Rockhouse Road and Highway 67.
The Ramona collision happened around 4:50 p.m. on Sunday. According to CHP, a Honda Pilot driver reportedly entered northbound Highway 67 from Rockhouse Road, stopping directly in the path of an oncoming motorcycle. This failure to yield led to the severe impact.
The motorcycle rider, a 48-year-old Ramona man, and his 41-year-old female passenger were both thrown from the bike. They both suffered major injuries and were transported to a hospital. Both individuals were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. The SUV driver, a 54-year-old Poway man, and his 12-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries. CHP reports drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the ongoing investigation.
