Reedley, CA – One Killed, One Airlifted in Crash on American & Buttonwillow

Reedley, CA (June 5, 2025) – One man was killed and a woman airlifted when a Toyota Prius pulled into the path of a northbound sedan at American and Buttonwillow avenues, the California Highway Patrol reports.

The crash occurred around 9:15 a.m. Thursday, when the Prius entered Buttonwillow Avenue and struck the white sedan. Emergency crews pronounced the man dead at the scene and airlifted the Prius driver to Community Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

CHP investigators say drugs and alcohol are not suspected and continue to probe the circumstances of the collision.
