Rockport, CA (July 17, 2025) – A driver was seriously injured Thursday morning after their truck crashed into a tree and went over an embankment on Route 1, just north of Rockport and northwest of Ukiah.
The collision occurred at approximately 10:04 a.m. when the truck struck a tree, causing it to go off the road and down an embankment. The driver sustained major injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities have not yet determined whether road conditions, weather, or driver error contributed to the incident.
