Sacramento, CA (May 4, 2025) – A crash involving a truck and a Nissan occurred Sunday morning on the northbound side of Interstate 5 in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened shortly before 9:16 a.m. near the morning commute peak. Officials say one of the vehicles struck a light pole, causing it to fall across the roadway. Witnesses reported that one of the vehicles was speeding and swerving prior to the crash.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and worked to remove the vehicles and the downed pole. A tow truck was dispatched, and crews cleared the roadway following the impact. The full extent of injuries, if any, has not been released.
CHP is investigating the circumstances of the crash. No further details are available at this time.
