Sacramento, CA - Child Hospitalized After Pedestrian Accident on Plaza Ave

Sacramento, CA (April 20, 2025) – A child was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday evening, April 19, in the 600 block of Plaza Avenue. The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m., prompting a rapid response from Sacramento Fire and Rescue.

According to reports, the juvenile was hit while crossing or walking near the roadway. Emergency personnel rendered aid at the scene before transporting the child to a local hospital. The child’s current condition has not been disclosed.

The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, including whether speed or distraction may have contributed.
