Sacramento, CA - Cyclist Critically Injured in Crash on Arden Way

Sacramento, CA (April 21, 2025) – A cyclist sustained life-threatening injuries Monday evening after being hit by a vehicle on Arden Way, according to Sacramento police.

The crash occurred just before 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Arden Way and Challenge Way. Emergency responders transported the cyclist to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment. The driver involved remained at the scene.

Authorities temporarily closed the westbound lanes of Arden Way between Ethan Way and Challenge Way during the investigation. The road was reopened later that evening.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
