Sacramento, CA – Four Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Semi-Truck on Highway 50

Sacramento, CA (April 10, 2025) — Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon on westbound Highway 50 near the Stockton Boulevard off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash occurred around 12:27 p.m. and involved several vehicles, including a blue Nissan, a Subaru, a white semi-truck, and additional cars. CHP reports that the semi-truck rear-ended the Nissan, triggering a possible chain-reaction crash affecting multiple vehicles in the vicinity.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to assist the injured. Among the four people hurt were two juveniles who reported pain following the collision. All injured individuals were assessed on-site, and some may have been transported for further medical care, though specific details about hospitalizations have not yet been released.

Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles, including the heavily rear-ended Nissan and the semi-truck, which reportedly lost a tire during the crash. Debris cleanup and vehicle recovery temporarily slowed westbound traffic in the area.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the collision and are working to determine liability.
