Sacramento, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash Injures Multiple, Including Children, on US-50

Sacramento, CA (April 9, 2025) – A hit-and-run collision on westbound US-50, just east of the Stockton Boulevard off-ramp, left several individuals injured Wednesday afternoon. The crash occurred at approximately 1:24 p.m., prompting a coordinated emergency response from Sacramento Fire Department and California Highway Patrol (CHP) units.

First responders arrived quickly and provided medical attention to the injured. According to dispatch reports, an infant was in the back seat of one of the vehicles, and a juvenile was also involved. The severity of injuries has not yet been disclosed, but the presence of children prompted an urgent response from fire and medical personnel.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene, initiating a hit-and-run investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made, and CHP officers are continuing efforts to locate the driver responsible.

Traffic was temporarily impacted along US-50 westbound, particularly near the Stockton Blvd off-ramp, as emergency crews secured the scene and cleared debris.

Authorities are asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.

Our thoughts are with those injured, especially the children, and we wish them a full recovery.
