Sacramento, CA – One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near Highway 99

Sacramento, CA (July 12, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash caused traffic delays and left one person injured Friday afternoon on the southbound side of the 5 Freeway, just north of Highway 99, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m., prompting a swift response from Sacramento Fire and Rescue. At least two vehicles were involved in the incident.

One individual sustained minor injuries and was transported to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported, and the identities of those involved have not yet been released.

Southbound lanes of I-5 experienced delays as emergency crews managed the scene and worked to clear the roadway. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
