Sacramento, CA – Major Big Rig Crash on Capital City Freeway

Sacramento, CA (June 6, 2025) – A crash involving two big rigs and a passenger vehicle occurred early Friday on the southbound Capital City Freeway near Watt Avenue and the I-80 merge, the California Highway Patrol reports.

CHP responded around 6:30 a.m. after a semi-truck jackknifed, spilling diesel across the roadway. The vehicles involved included a white semi-truck, another big rig with a white trailer, and a silver Honda.

Authorities reported no injuries in connection with the crash.
