Sacramento, CA (April 8, 2025) – A motorcyclist in Sacramento sustained injuries due to a rear-end collision that occurred on eastbound U.S. 50. The accident happened just west of the connector to southbound I-5 on the afternoon of April 8 around 4:10 p.m. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) was quick to respond to the scene of the incident, where a motorcycle had collided with the rear of a vehicle that then fled the scene.
The motorcycle was left blocking the first lane of traffic, which led authorities to request a flatbed wrecker to clear the area. Emergency medical personnel from the fire department arrived shortly after to provide medical assistance to the injured rider. The rider was then transported to a hospital for further treatment. Details about the vehicle that left the scene remain unknown as of now, prompting the CHP traffic crash unit to initiate an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and to locate the driver who fled.
