Sacramento, CA - Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on I-5 Near Highway 50 Connector

Sacramento, CA (April 15, 2025) – A 50-year-old motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night following a collision with a car on Interstate 5 near the Highway 50 connector in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Front Street and Broadway. The motorcyclist, identified as Shaun Wayne Sutterfield, was pronounced dead at the scene after being ejected from his motorcycle. The driver of the involved car was uninjured.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim’s identity, and CHP investigators continue to examine the cause of the collision. No further details have been released at this time.
