Sacramento, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-80 at Yolo Causeway

Sacramento, CA (April 18, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 80 at the Yolo Causeway caused injuries and major traffic delays on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred around 7:52 a.m. and involved at least two vehicles.

Emergency responders arrived quickly and rendered aid to the injured at the scene. At least one individual was likely transported to a local hospital for further treatment. The extent of the injuries has not been confirmed.

Traffic was heavily impacted in the westbound lanes due to the narrow design of the causeway and cleanup efforts. CHP officers remained on-site to investigate the cause of the collision, which may have involved speed or mechanical failure.
