Sacramento, CA – One Injured in Fiery Airport Pursuit Crash

Sacramento, CA (May 31, 2025) – A driver was seriously injured when the car crashed and caught fire at Sacramento Executive Airport after a police pursuit.

The crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday after officers spotted the vehicle linked to a carjacking near Riverside Boulevard and Greenhaven Drive. The driver refused to stop, leading police on a chase that ended when the car plowed through a chain-link fence onto airport property and erupted in flames.

Officers pulled the injured driver from the burning vehicle and rendered aid before emergency medical personnel transported the patient to a local hospital; the driver is expected to survive. Sacramento Police continue reviewing the pursuit and crash to determine what led to the fiery wreck.

We wish the driver a full and speedy recovery.
