Sacramento, CA - One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near Arena Blvd

Sacramento, CA (April 18, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident caused traffic delays and lane closures on Friday afternoon along southbound Interstate 5 near the Arena Boulevard exit, according to the California Department of Transportation. The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. and involved three to four vehicles.

Emergency crews from the Sacramento Fire Department responded quickly, transporting at least one individual to a nearby hospital with injuries. A second ambulance was also dispatched for an additional patient. The nature and extent of the injuries remain unknown at this time.

Motorists were advised to use alternate routes as traffic in the area slowed significantly. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and an investigation by local authorities is underway.
